Mafutaga a Tina Report

Talofa Lava and Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Mafutaga a Tina is blessed and honoured to have the opportunity to serve and worship together with all of our mothers from our past, present and future.

Background

The Mafutaga a Tina is a long-established, voluntary group of Mothers from the Itupa Samoa. They come together during the months of February to October every year to fellowship, worship and continue their growing mission work of the Lord.

Leadership Team

This year the Mafutaga a Tina is grateful to be represented by a committed leadership team. These members include:

President – Malu Koko
Vice President – Siutu Ah Kuoi
Secretary – Lavinia Falaniko
Treasurer – Silulu Bolton

Work of the Mafutaga a Tina

Each year, the mothers are allocated into groups by month. This allows for the mothers of all ages to share experience and knowledge with each other. Each group leads a prayer meeting and also completes visitations for the elderly and sick, as a part of their pastoral care service. Each group concludes the month by participating in leading a service which includes reading the Bible, Prayers and Sermons.

Every year the Mafutaga a Tina is dedicated to fulfilling an annual project which enhances the Church and its parishioners. This year the Lord has graciously blessed the Mafutaga a Tina with the ability to replace all of the cushions within the Church. It has been a truly humbling and worthwhile experience and only by God’s grace and faithfulness could this project be accomplished.

Activities

  • Prayer Meeting – First Saturday of the Month
  • Mafutaga a Tina Service – Last Saturday of the Month

On behalf of the Mafutaga a Tina we would like to extend a warm invitation to anyone who would like to join any of our activities, you are more than welcome to come along and share with us.

Luke 1:46-49:

And Mary said, “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me, holy is His name.”

Luka 1: 46-49:

Aua i Le e ona le mana, ua faia e ia mea silisili mo a’u: e paia foi lona suafa.”
